ty dw i wasnt done with that!!!
do you think they're choosing to stay here? they all collectively agreed, "yes, i quite like freezing my arse off every day of the year, forever." they're still exiles.
the ue is all about utilitarian. if the planet's gone to shit, what's the point in taking it over? they're going to want it fixed first. it hasn't changed who they are, or what they're working towards. it's only made the initiative's effort even more difficult, because of reasons like what you said. 'hardly seems like this place is hurting much' so why stir shit up?
its pretty sure you were
But are we really even coordinated with them whatsoever at this point? Or are we all just 'Transports' and 'Old Initiative' and 'New Initiative'? I get the feeling there's no real marching orders coming from them. Should we be getting together an - hell, I don't know - a bloody emissary to send to them? Christ
wrong forever, dw.
aren't you used to this by now?
as far as everyone seems concerned, 'old initiative' is grouped in with the transports, and the new initiative is about as helpful as decaf coffee. but if there's anyone who's going to be an emissary... it's goodman.
but i don't think we should be looking to them for direction. they don't have the technology, or the education to do what we're doing, or to even jump in and help out. i doubt if they've never seen the transporter before, they have any timeline technicians.

he's going to be the first one stepping up to be an emissary or negotiator, and i doubt anyone else wants to take that job.

[Because yeah, he's seen Saul recently actually. And it wasn't in any kind of leadership role, that much Charlie's certain of.]

It was hard to convince people on the moon to do anything but look out for their own hides. If you don't think it'll be twice as much now that they have to legitimately worry about themselves???
Saul doesn't need to be a bloody emissary to our hosts if he can't even be bothered to wrangle the people here first - people he's apparently so goddamned concerned about, if you can believe half the rubbish out of his mouth

[Although he's kind of interested in what exactly Charlie's seen...]
i don't know what you want from me cutter. a solution? a name? do you think i'm not tired of this too? you keep coming to me like i have answers and then being disappointed when i don't have them.

[Call the papers, hell just froze over, and other turns of phrase because Charlie Cutter just apologized to someone and kind of meant it.]
